An Italian Jesuit Brother who became a Court painter in the early 1700's in China, Guiseppe Castigilione is known for his portraits of emperors and royalty, but produced some magnificent paintings of flora and fauna in the regions in which he lived.  Carnations is a lovely composition best rendered in silk threads, but we are more than happy to select and add appropriate wool, pearle cotton or silk threads to complete the 12" x 14" mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.
